Oliva (Valencia), February 19, 2017.- With the conclusion this weekend of the last tests at the Oliva Nova Equestrian Center (CEON), another week of the Mediterranean Equestrian Tour was closed in its spring edition. This second phase of the Spring MET 2017, in which more than 250 riders and almost a thousand horses participate, celebrated a new Grand Prix (sponsored by Oliva Nova Beach & Golf Resort) at the height of 1.45 meters in which it was proclaimed winner the Belgian rider Constant van Paesschen with his horse Isidoor van de Helle.
The second place of the race, in which 68 pairs participated, was for Steve Guerdat, from Switzerland, riding Corbinian and the third for the German rider Simone Blum with Dsp Alice. Among the Spaniards, the best classified was Fernando Fourcade López, who occupied the 24th position with Sundance. In this way ended a few days of equestrian jumping competition in which the spectators have been able to enjoy as always the tests for young horses of 5, 6 and 7 years and the rest of competitions in the different heights of the categories Bronze , Silver and Gold, some of them score for the Ranking of the International Equestrian Federation.
As in the previous weeks, there has been a great atmosphere in the Equestrian Center of Oliva Nova, especially during the weekend days. In the presence of the riders and their companions must be added that of the public, made up of fans of the equestrian but also by neighbors of the area, who did not want to miss the show. The influx of spectators to the Spring MET has benefited from the prices established by the organization: free admission on weekdays and 5 euros on weekends (except for those under 16, who still enter for free). A unique opportunity to spend a family day and enjoy an event of high international competition in a privileged environment such as Oliva Nova Beach & Golf Resort.
