On January 17 begins the sixth edition of the Spring MET at the Oliva Nova Equestrian Center
162 riders and amazons from 32 countries will compete in the first tour for 264,000 euros in prizes
Oliva (Valencia), January 13, 2017.- The facilities of the Oliva Nova Equestrian Center (CEON) are already prepared to welcome the best riders of the international scene, which will meet from Tuesday to play the Spring MET events. 2017. This is the sixth edition of this international jumping competition, which has become a benchmark for the equestrian circuit. The first tour, which begins on Tuesday and ends on Sunday, January 29, will have the participation of 162 riders and 600 horses, and marks the beginning of more than 3 months of equestrian competition.
Oliva Nova Beach & Golf Resort will welcome athletes from all over the globe who will fight to win the Gold, Silver and Bronze categories, as well as young horse competitions; among them, the Mediterranean Equestrian Tour will distribute more than 1,350,000 euros in prizes. In addition, thirty of the tests that will be disputed are punctual for the Longines World Ranking. Some of the best known names of the equestrian will be present in Oliva Nova during Spring MET: Janne Friederike Meyer, Olympic team champion with Germany; the Irish Niall Talbot and David Simpson, both winners of a Grand Prix in the last edition of the Autumn MET and Constant Van Paesschen, another of the usual on the tracks of the CEON.
