Oliva (Valencia), January 29, 2017.- With the completion this Sunday of the last tests at the Oliva Nova Equestrian Center (CEON), the first round of the four that will make up this year the Mediterranean Equestrian Tour in its edition was closed of spring. This first phase of the Spring MET 2017 in which 162 riders from 32 countries and 600 horses participated, was the culmination of a new Grand Prix, sponsored by Suzuki, at the height of 1.45 meters in which the English rider was proclaimed winner. The second place of the race, in which 54 pairs participated, was for Alex Duffy, from Ireland, riding Wce Cruco and the third for the Italian rider Emanuele Massimiliano Bianchi, with Zycalin W. Among the Spaniards, the best placed was Manuel Pinto, who occupied the 15th position with Chesterfield de Jochri. In this way ended a few days of equestrian jumping competition in which the spectators, whose number has been increasing as the weekend was approaching, have been able to enjoy as always the tests for young horses of 5, 6 and 7 years and the rest of competitions in the Bronze, Silver and Gold categories, some of them rated for the Ranking of the International Equestrian Federation.
Throughout the week, the facilities of the Oliva Nova Equestrian Center have witnessed a hectic activity, since in addition to the scheduled tests, some of those that had to be canceled the previous week due to rain and especially the strong wind, so unusual at this time. The second phase of the Mediterranean Equestrian Tour starts next Tuesday, February 7 and will last for 3 weeks, in which fans and neighbors in the area can get close to Oliva Nova Beach & Golf Resort to enjoy this event, which combines all the attractiveness of the equestrian with the emotion of the international high competition.
