With the victory of the French rider, a new week of Spring MET 2017 was closed in Oliva Nova
The second of the four rounds of the international jumps competition continues until February 26
Oliva (Valencia), February 12, 2017.- The first week of the MET II ended on Sunday with the last tests held at the Oliva Nova Equestrian Center (CEON), on a sunny afternoon with a very pleasant temperature. This block of the Mediterranean Equestrian Tour, which will bring together more than 250 horsemen and almost 1,000 horses until February 26, held its first Grand Prix – sponsored by Stephex Group – at the 1.45 meter height that won Guillaume Foutrier riding Tchin de La Tour. The MET II resumes from Tuesday on the slopes of the equestrian center.
The second place in the race, in which 55 pairs participated, was for the Frenchman Harold Boisset on the back of Quolita Z, and the third for French rider Thierry Rozier riding at Venezia d’Ecaussinnes. Among the Spaniards, the best were Fernando Fourcade López, classified in the 14th position with Sundance and Manuel Pinto, who took the 36th place riding Calgary L. In this way, ended a week of equestrian competition that began on Tuesday with the contest of the tests for horses of 5, 6 and 7 years, an ideal occasion for horsemen and amazons to train their younger horses. As of Thursday, the rest of the competitions were also held in the different heights of the Bronze, Silver and Gold categories, some of them rated for the Ranking of the International Equestrian Federation.
In this first week of MET II, a great atmosphere has been experienced in the facilities of the CEON, especially during the weekend. In the presence of riders and companions joined the spectators, who have approached Oliva Nova to enjoy this international jumps competition. The influx of public has been favored by the prices that the organization has established: free admission on weekdays and the price of 5 euros on weekends (except for those under 16, who continue to enter for free).
