The great influx of public and a sensational climate contributed to the success of the first week of competition. The MET of autumn resumes next Tuesday
Oliva (Valencia), October 8, 2017.- This Sunday has ended the first week of the Mediterranean Equestrian Tour in the Oliva Nova Equestrian Center (CEON). The Autumn MET 2017 celebrated its first Grand Prix – at the height of 1.45 meters – with the British winner Emily Moffitt riding her horse Galip. The second place was for Marie Hecart, from France, with her mare Vahinne, and the third for the South African rider Govett Triggol, with her mare Wolke 334. The first Spaniard classified in twelfth place was the Amazon Pilar Cordón with her mare Goriana Van Klapscheut.
Since the competition began on October 3, the facilities of the CEON have received a large audience that has attended the various jumping events of this special event and enjoyed a sensational climate throughout the week. The first days were devoted to the competitions of young horses (5, 6 and 7 years) and on Thursday the tournament began for the Bronze, Silver and Gold categories, some of whose tests are punctual for the Longines World Ranking List.
Throughout the week, the CEON has witnessed a magnificent environment that has grown year after year since the first edition of the MET in 2012. In the presence of riders with their teams and families has joined the of a large number of spectators who filled the stands and the Village, composed not only by enthusiasts of the equestrian, but also by many neighbors of the area, attracted by this equestrian show. And it is that the MET is a unique opportunity to spend a family day and enjoy an event of high international competition in a privileged enclave as is the Oliva Nova Beach & Golf Resort with such a pleasant climate that has allowed the odd bath on the beach by the participants. For this occasion, the Center has had a reform in its gardening and the planting of new plant species.
