The first phase of Spring MET 2017 ends on January 29

Oliva (Valencia), January 24, 2017.- After a weekend in which weather conditions, especially the strong wind, forced the suspension of the competition, the equestrian show returns to the Oliva Nova Equestrian Center with the beginning of the second week of the Mediterranean Equestrian Tour. It is a very intense day for the Spring MET since, in addition to the scheduled categories, some will be recovered that could not be disputed last week because of the weather. In the Grand Prix held today at the height of 1.45 meters and sponsored by Oliva Nova Beach & Golf Resort, the winner was Marc Bettinger with his horse Barino.

The second place in the race, in which 52 pairs participated, was for the Italian Emanuele Massimiliano Bianchi with Zycalin W and the third for Nicolas Deseuzes (FRA), riding Quilane de Lezeaux. With the main event came the end of a day in which several tests were also played at different heights of the categories Gold and Bronze, as well as competitions for horses of 5, 6 and 7 years, an ideal occasion for riders and Amazons train their younger horses. This first part of Spring MET 2017, in which 162 riders from 32 countries participate, will conclude on Sunday 29 January with the celebration of a new Grand Prix at the Oliva Nova Equestrian Center (CEON). The competition resumes on February 7 with MET II.
