Dennis van den Brink made it a double of wins<\/sub><\/em><\/p>\n Van den Brink piloted Ogano Girl Z (Ogano Sitte x Mermus R)\u00a0to victory in the final for the 7-year-old horses, while I am (Etoulon x Vingino)\u00a0was his winning partner in the final for the 6-year-olds. Both horses are owned by Teus and Bea van den Brink from Brink Stables.<\/p>\n The 7-year-old\u00a0final was set at 1.40m and saw a total of 16 horse-and-rider combinations move on to the jump-off. There eight managed to repeat their clean sheets from round one. Fastest was Dennis van den Brink, who had a second down to runner-up Clem McMahon (IRL) and Hilton Up The Banner (Je T’Aime Flamenco x Cruising). Marit Harr Skollerud (NOR) and Eluna CI Z (Emerald Van ‘T Ruytershof x Nabab de Reve) finished third.<\/p>\n Fifteen of the horse-and-rider combinations in the 6-year-old final set at 1.30m made it to the jump-off. Also in this class, Dennis van den Brink had a margin of a second down to runners-up Victoria Gulliksen (NOR) and Ibiza (Cardento 933 x Kojak). Clem McMahon was on the podium in this final too, this time riding Legaland Team Spirit (Sandro Boy x breeding unkown).<\/p>\n \u201cI had a good day today, that\u2019s for sure!\u201d Dennis smiled after the finals. \u201cIn the 7-year-old final I had two horses in the jump-off, and I was the first to go so that was a bit challenging. So when I went in for the second time, I just decided to give it all I\u2019ve got.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cMy 6-year-old I am is a great horse and has jumped a lot of clear rounds here. I took the short turn in the jump-off and that is what made the difference between me and 2nd placed Victoria Gulliksen,\u201d Dennis continued.<\/p>\n \u201cI like it here at the Mediterranean Equestrian Tour, especially the fact that it is very clean here. Now that the main arena has a new sand surface, it can be used much more and it is a really good experience for the young horses to get to go on this huge ring,\u201d Dennis said.<\/p>\n In the final for the 5-year-old horses, set at 1.20m, Shannon Meinert Ketterle\u00a0(DEN) and Diva du Cache Pot Z\u00a0(Dieu Merci Van T & L x Montparnasse) took the win. With a clear round in a time of 32.75 seconds, the Danish rider left Jelmer Hoekstra\u00a0(NED) and Esteban’s Twinkeling Z\u00a0(Emerald N.O.P. x Latano I) behind her in 33.15 seconds.
