A new triumph of Scott Brash closes the second week of Spring MET II of Oliva Nova

The British rider returns to prevail with his horse Hello Mr. President in the Grand Prix Trophy CHG-Construcciones Hispano Germanas S.A. Sunday. Just one week after the end of the Spring MET II the riders have distributed a bag of 264,200 euros

Oliva (Valencia), 18 de febrero de 2018.- The second MET tour in its spring edition came to the end of its second week with a new victory for Scott Brash, riding Hello Mr. President, at this Sunday’s Grand Prix. The second and third place of the race were for the Frenchman Julien Epaillard riding the Instit de Jucaso and the Qatar rider Bassem Mohammed, with the horse Argelith Squid, who won a prize of 6,000 and 4,500 euros, respectively.

At the end of Sunday, the last jumps in the Oliva Nova Equestrian Center (CEON), concluded the second week of the Spring MET II in which the young rider Olivia Díaz Bañón highlighted again, when she got the seventh position on Friday riding El Paciente de Elder and with a time of 63.16, in the Gold test – height 1.35m.

In this way ended a few days of equestrian jumping competition in which the spectators, whose number has been increasing as it was approaching the weekend, have been able to attend the performances of riders of great impact in the world equestrian scene, as Scott Brash and Steve Guerdat, the Italian Alberto Zorzi – number 14 in the Longines Ranking – or Julien Epaillard from France, who also won the Grand Prix Stephex Group trophy on Sunday, February 11.

Likewise and as always, the great family of Oliva Nova – riders, companions and attending public – has enjoyed the tests for young horses of 5, 6 and 7 years and the rest of competitions in the categories Bronze, Silver and Gold, some of them scoring for the Longines Ranking.

The Spring MET II begins its final stretch next Tuesday, February 20: it will be a special week that will close a competition in which 1,000 horses and 237 riders from 36 countries will have participated and 426,700 euros will have been distributed in prizes.

In this last week of the Spring MET II we hope that fans and neighbors of the area can get closer to Oliva Nova Beach & Golf Resort to enjoy again, in a spring environment, an event that combines all the attractions of the equestrian with the excitement of the high international competition, in addition to the wide areas of leisure, gastronomy and the new children’s area, with free access.
